Lauren & Quentin Morton Arboretum Wedding

I recently photographed Lauren and Quentin's wedding, a day marked by love, laughter, and a few unexpected surprises that made it even more memorable. The ceremony was held at SS Cyril Methodist Church in Lemont, Illinois, a venue rich in tradition and elegance. The joy and anticipation were clear as Lauren and Quentin exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends.

There was a slight delay at the church due to two weddings ahead of us running long, which caused our ceremony to start late. Despite this, the excitement of the day remained undiminished, giving everyone a bit more time to appreciate the beautiful surroundings.

After the ceremony, we moved to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle for portraits and the reception. Known for its lush landscapes and serene atmosphere, the Arboretum was an ideal setting for capturing the couple's first moments as husband and wife. The reception took place in the Sycamore Room, which perfectly matched their elegant yet relaxed style.

A highlight of the day was Quentin's family, who had traveled from France for the occasion. Despite the language barrier and my limited French, their love and joy were evident. Having recently visited France myself, I felt a special connection and enjoyed the opportunity to engage with them.

While taking portraits, we were caught off guard by a gentle rain. Lauren and Quentin handled it with grace and humor, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a memorable experience. One of my favorite images from the day is of Lauren running through the hedge maze, followed by Quentin, as we dashed in from the rain. The rain added a unique touch to the photos, highlighting their love and resilience.

Lauren and Quentin's wedding was a beautiful testament to their love and the merging of two families from different parts of the world. It was an honor to be part of their special day and to capture these moments for them to cherish.

Congratulations, Lauren and Quentin. I wish you both a lifetime filled with love, adventure, and wonderful memories.
