Samantha & Tristan's Intimate Morton Arboretum Wedding

I had such a great time photographing Samantha and Tristan’s intimate wedding at the Morton Arboretum. While a lot of attention goes to large, extravagant weddings, I have to say, intimate weddings like this are some of my favorites. Samantha and Tristan's day was no exception.

We met up before the ceremony near the fragrance garden for their first look. It was just the two of them, and it couldn’t have been a better moment to capture. Afterward, we walked around the area and took a handful of portraits. It was a great time to reconnect, as I hadn’t seen them since their engagement session.

The ceremony was a small gathering of close family and friends—simple, meaningful, and full of love. Afterward, we headed to Tristan’s parents' house for a private celebration under a tent, surrounded by those who mean the most to them.

There’s something special about these smaller weddings. They really allow for the kind of moments that stick with you. Samantha and Tristan’s day was no different, and I’m glad I got to be a part of it.

If you’re planning an intimate wedding, I offer custom collections to fit most couples' needs and budget. Feel free to reach out, and we can chat about how to make your day unforgettable.

Thomas did both our engagement and wedding photos and did an absolutely amazing job! He was professional, super communicative, and did fantastic with both posed and candid shots. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was a great resource on our venue. He turned our photos around very quickly too, which was nice because we were so anxious to see them! He was so great to work with and we’re so happy with our choice to use Thomas!
