I Went to Italy and Didn’t Shoot a Wedding
I went to Italy and didn’t shoot a wedding (sorry for the clickbait).
But damn, that would have been fun. Instead, over ten days, I explored Italy with my favorite travel crew—my wife, Patti, and our good friends Marc and Lysette. We hit all the sights in Rome, Florence, Tuscany, and Venice, averaging 15,000 steps a day. And yes, we got a lot of rain! Picture daily drizzles that had us negotiating slippery cobblestone and dodging puddles all while balancing gelato and drinking copious amounts of wine.
My travel photography is a lot like my wedding style: always chasing light, shadows, creative compositions, and those small, interesting details that make even familiar places feel fresh. Here are a few of my favorite shots—hope you enjoy Italy through my lens!
And yes—she got the purse! Big thanks to Marc for his expert negotiating skills!

We’ve done London, Paris and Rome together and still call each other friends.
