Emily & Ryan’s Engagement Session at the Morton Arboretum

I recently photographed Emily and Ryan’s engagement session at the Morton Arboretum. With their October 2025 wedding on the horizon, we wanted to squeeze this session in before the Midwest weather took a turn. Halfway through, the first snow of the season surprised us. Emily and Ryan didn’t miss a beat. The unexpected snowfall made for some great moments—and plenty of laughs.

As we shot, we discovered we had a lot of mutual connections. I even photographed a wedding for one of Emily’s friends. It’s always fun to realize how small the world can be.
